Tempo, Inc. is seeking a strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead warehouse, logistics, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing support, and prefabrication logistics.

This leader will ensure seamless coordination between operations, inventory, job-site delivery, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience in supply chain leadership, strong procurement and vendor-management skills, and experience in HVAC, construction, or related fields.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of applicable experience in supply chain or logistics.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract negotiation, and inventory systems.
• Leadership experience in warehouse or logistics teams.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop warehouse and purchasing teams through coaching and accountability.
• Oversee inventory across warehouses, counts, and variances reconciliation.
• Negotiate with vendors and align purchasing with budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Service, US-Ecologic, and Accounting departments.
• Enforce OSHA safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Provide regular KPI updates to the CFO and drive data-driven decisions with Salesforce/M365.

Position Summary

Tempo, Inc. is seeking a strategic, operations-support-focused Director of Supply Chain to lead the functions of warehouse, logistics, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing support, and prefabrication logistics. This leader will ensure seamless coordination between operations, inventory, job-site delivery, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience across logistics, supply chain, and purchasing, and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Reports to: CFO

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Analyze inventory turnover rates and make recommendations for stock optimization.
• Lead and develop high-performing warehouse and purchasing teams through effective coaching, collaboration, and accountability.
• Align logistics with company goals, project timelines, and customer commitments.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, operational-customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain structured performance review cycles for all direct reports, including regular check-ins and one-on-one coaching.

Warehouse Oversight

• Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouse sites, trucks, consignment locations, and transfers.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts and be able to reconcile all variances.
• Ensure timely and accurate receiving, job packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, shipping efficiency, and labor productivity.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize layout, processes, and warehouse software utilization.

Procurement & Supply Chain

• Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Ensure purchasing strategies align with project demands, budget targets, and inventory needs.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve any vendor-related issues.
• Oversee purchase orders for accuracy and ensure timely deliveries.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

• Serve as the logistics and procurement liaison to key departments: Mechanical, Service, US-Ecologic, and Accounting.
• Coordinate with finance on budgeting, inventory reconciliation, and supplier invoice discrepancies.

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce safety policies across all logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.

Reporting & Performance

• Provide regular performance updates to the Chief Administrative Officer.
• Lead data-driven decision-making using internal systems such as Salesforce and Microsoft 365.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Qualifications

• 7-10 years of applicable experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract negotiation, inventory systems, and logistics processes.
• Strong knowledge in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain leadership, preferably in HVAC, construction, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
• A creative approach to dynamically solve problem.
• Ability to communicate at a high level, both written and verbal, and to both internal and external customers.
• Self-motivated attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365; experience with Salesforce preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Physical Qualifications

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work varying shifts including days, nights, and weekends.

Education and/or Experience

• BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
• Management experience a minimum 4 years
