Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from an accredited university required.
  • Clinical leadership capacity within the field of substance use disorders required.
  • Recognized as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or psychologist/Health Service Provider in Psychology by the State of Indiana.

Job Summary:
The Director of Substance Use Disorder Services will lead substance use programs, including residential treatment and outpatient services. This role ensures high-quality care, fosters partnerships, and supports JPCHC/Turning Point’s mission. Responsibilities include program development, clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, and community collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Program Development:

  • Oversee residential and outpatient substance use programs.
  • Develop future treatment initiatives in collaboration with leadership.
  • Integrate addiction services with behavioral health and primary care.
  • Foster relationships with community and state partners.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission).
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical documentation.

Staff Training & Development:

  • Provide ongoing training in evidence-based addiction treatment.
  • Promote trauma-informed, culturally competent care.

Community & Crisis Collaboration:

  • Partner with hospitals, law enforcement, and social services for crisis response.
  • Engage in outreach to reduce stigma and increase access to addiction services.
  • Optimize resources and ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Identify funding opportunities and grants.
  • Track key performance indicators and report outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from an accredited university required.
  • Clinical leadership capacity within the field of substance use disorders required.
  • Experience in building State and community partnerships is a plus.
  • Recognized as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or psychologist/Health Service Provider in Psychology by the State of Indiana.
  • Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC,) preferred.
