Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years administrative or supervisory experience in special education, including standards-based IEPs.
• 10+ years of senior leadership and management experience at school/district level.
• Knowledge of RtI and PBIS frameworks.
• Strong data-system usage (Excel, EasyIEP) to monitor progress.
• Commitment to Meridian’s mission and serving all students.
• Independent work style with meticulous organization.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record of leading a team and collaborating effectively.
• Ability to engage with students and families across differences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Inclusion Program and develop vision for special education.
• Lead day-to-day operations of special education and ELL programs.
• Collaborate with principals to hire and manage the SST team.
• Manage SST budgets and liaison with OSSE, DCPS, and DCPCSB.
• Ensure IEPs and related paperwork are thorough and compliant.
• Coordinate scheduling of all services for students with IEPs.
• Conduct annual IEP reviews and progress reporting.
