Job summary

Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Director for Student and Institutional Academic Success to advance teaching quality and a culture of educational excellence within the Center for Institutional, Faculty and Student Success.

This role leads high-impact student support across OMS and faculty collaboration, overseeing intervention programs, study skills, advising, and workshops while reporting to the Dean and collaborating with academic staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate in education preferred; master's toward doctorate.
• Experience: at least 3 years in an academic setting with teaching or academic support.

Responsibilities

• Identify students experiencing academic difficulty and provide academic assistance or refer to intervention resources.
• Maintain CIFSS intervention database and monitor progression through academic intervention supports.
• Present study skills and coordinate student success workshops.
• Communicate with faculty, academic advisors, and related personnel to monitor progress.
• Develop training for faculty on student interventions.
• Advise OMS students on board prep resources and plan, including presentations and meetings.
• Monitor COMSAE/COMLEX status and coordinate remediation and advising.
• Coordinate peer tutoring and the academic advising program.
• Provide information on disability policies and accommodations.
