The Alamo Colleges District is seeking a Director of Student Financial Aid dedicated to providing expert financial aid services and promoting student success. The Director of Student Financial Aid must be an effective leader with proficient knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, policies, and procedures. This role involves providing comprehensive financial aid services, promoting programs within the community, and collaborating with district and college-wide student support services. The position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Student Financial Aid, and supervises a team skilled in financial aid advising, federal and state compliance, fund reconciliation, data analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a team player, innovative, supportive, and committed to student success.
The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience, with six years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, eight years of financial aid experience, and proficiency with the Federal Student Aid Handbook, CFR, and audit requirements. Knowledge of Banner (Ellucian) is a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license, be insurable, and pass background checks and drug screening.
