Director of Student Engagement
Full Time – 10 Months
Anticipated starting salary $50,338 (benefits and housing included)
Reports to: Dean of Students
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the development, scheduling, and implementation of student activities on campus;
- Supervises the Student Council, Campus Activities Board, and student clubs and organizations;
- Serves as a staff presence for student events, often being required to be on campus evenings and weekends;
- Facilitates New Student Orientation and Move In with Residence Life;
- Fosters development of student leaders in Student Council, CAB, Clubs, and Orientation through weekly meetings, one-on-ones, and leadership development initiatives;
- Establishes policies and implements best practices to support a cohesive student life program that complements the academic mission of the college;
- Develops social and co-curricular programs and encourages and supports student programming for an active campus;
- Strives to assure excellence in the programming on campus through providing resources for continuous assessment of student needs and evaluation of program effectiveness and success;
- Works collaboratively with offices across campus to provide a comprehensive, and complimentary programming plan;
- Assists in the implementation of a framework for a comprehensive student leadership development program;
- Networks across campus to coordinate the college programming calendar;
- Serves as a member of the Student Life Leadership Team;
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President for Student Life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must be committed to the mission and purpose of Christian higher education and must express a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
- A Master’s degree in higher education administration, student development or related field is preferred.
- The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be committed to working in a team setting.
- Evenings and weekends hours may be required.
