Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least three years of relevant professional experience in higher education, facilities management, event operations, or related field with progressively responsible duties.
• Five years of full time experience in student activities, leadership, student union, or related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning and operations for the James B. Chavis Student Center and its spaces.
• Supervise staff, set expectations, and provide training and professional development.
• Ensure high standards of service for student organizations, campus departments, and external groups.
• Analyze customer satisfaction data to drive improvements.
• Develop policies on facility usage, reservations, and operations.
• Plan long-range facility strategies and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with Food Service Manager on catering and dining matters.
• Provide guidance for student engagement programs and event planning.
• Direct camps and conferences operations, including contract management and housing coordination.
• Maintain ACUI membership and oversee staff development.
