Samaritas in Michigan is seeking a Director of Strategic Implementation & Business Development to turn funded grants and visionary partnerships into tangible programs. This leadership role guides cross-functional teams, shapes growth initiatives, and advances housing and community development through strategic execution and new ventures.

You will design plans, manage timelines, build stakeholder alignment, and present business cases to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in project management, grant development, business development, or related fields.
• Proven success leading complex initiatives from concept through launch.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and financial planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in human services, nonprofit leadership, or social enterprise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and launch of newly awarded grant-funded initiatives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, accountability structures, and readiness strategies.
• Partner with program leaders and shared services to ensure successful execution.
• Support grant research, proposal development, program design, and funding strategies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
• Conduct market research, feasibility assessments, and business planning.
• Lead cross-functional teams through development, implementation, and launch of new programs.
• Advance housing and community development opportunities with stakeholders.
• Design, launch, and evaluate pilots and innovative service models.
• Present recommendations and business cases to executives.
