Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in development, donor relations, annual giving, or major gifts.
• Experience in higher education or complex nonprofit; HBCU experience a plus.
• Proven success closing gifts and managing donor relationships end-to-end.
• Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with donor CRM systems and prospect research tools.
• Understanding of restricted-gift compliance and donor-intent administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and multi-year fundraising goals and strategies for the Division.
• Manage a portfolio of donors through the full development cycle with documented strategies.
• Execute solicitations for annual giving, scholarships, capital projects, and campaigns.
• Plan and support the comprehensive campaign, including communications and volunteer engagement.
• Draft cases for support, appeal letters, and gift proposals grounded in the college's mission.
