Job summary

Arizona Democratic Party in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Communications Director to develop the ADP brand, craft messaging, and lead crisis communications. You will manage the Communications Department and collaborate with the Chair, Executive Director, Finance Director, and Political Director.

The role includes overseeing staff, coordinating with campaigns and allied groups, and serving as principal spokesperson. Salary range $85,000-$90,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum level of experience as Departmental Staff Manager or similar supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust communications plan that tells ADP’s story through a variety of platforms.
• Plan content calendars that advance the party brand and message.
• Ensure coherent messaging alignment amongst all party surrogates and execute issue topic research.
• Coordinate with Communications Teams for elected officials and national committees to ensure message cohesion.
• Provide messaging training and talking points to ADP principals, candidates, and local affiliates.
