Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Our client is seeking a strategic and people-focused Director of Store Performance &Operations to lead retail operations across their network of fine jewelry stores. This role blends visionary leadership with hands-on involvement, driving consistency, culture, and growth across in-store, virtual, and pop-up retail experiences. This is an opportunity for a seasoned retail leader to make an impact in a fast-paced, high-touch luxury environment where the in-store experience is rooted in emotional storytelling and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the C-Suite and senior leadership to define and execute store operations strategy aligned with company vision and revenue goals

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing retail professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Oversee in-store teams, virtual sales staff, and pop-up sales operations, including staffing structure, compensation strategies, and sales incentives

Create and manage store operations budgets, including hiring plans and operational expenditures

Drive growth by aligning staffing, training, sales, marketing, and events to deliver consistent brand experiences

Evaluate and refine in-store leadership roles to support scaling and long-term success

Plan and execute new store launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring operational best practices and brand continuity

Build and document scalable operational playbooks to support future growth

Optimize store workflows and efficiencies through tool audits and technology implementation

Analyze and improve all sales flows including signage, merchandising, aesthetics, and in-store experience

Oversee training programs, safety protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., AML, fire code, insurance)

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Experience, Production, Creative, and HR teams to align store performance with broader organizational goals

Coordinate with Marketing for scheduling and training of pop-up event staff, and ensure strong follow-up processes for sales generated from events

Lead recruiting and retention strategies for in-store and pop-up sales positions

Develop and report on retail KPIs and operational health to senior leadership

Build relationships with community partners, law enforcement, and vendors to enhance store security and external collaboration

Maintain adaptability as the organization evolves, with openness to shifting responsibilities and structure

Qualifications:

8+ years in multi-store retail operations, with 4+ years in leadership roles

Background in luxury retail or fine jewelry is strongly preferred

Proven experience opening new retail locations and scaling store operations

Data-driven, with strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities

Executive presence with the ability to inspire teams, influence across departments, and lead change

Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and handling complex employee relations scenarios

Strong cross-functional collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, growth environments

Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working beyond standard business hours when needed to support retail operations

Reports To:Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer
Location:Onsite at Denver headquarters, with up to 20% travel
Type:Full-time, On-site
Schedule:Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage expected
Work Environment:Must be highly present in the stores during initial ramp-up to build trust and gain operational insights
