Job summary

Young World Physical Education is looking for an Early Intervention Department Director Designee to supervise and maintain statewide early intervention services for families of Deaf or hard of hearing children. You will work closely with state agencies to ensure effective referrals and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree, experience in leadership, and proficiency in American Sign Language. Responsibilities include overseeing operations and ensuring compliance with IDEA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience working as an early interventionist with families whose children are Deaf or hard of hearing.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory and/or leadership role.
• Proficiency in or willingness to learn American Sign Language required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, develops, and maintains statewide home-based early intervention services.
• Collaborates with state and tribal agencies to promote services to Deaf children.
• Evaluates the Early Intervention Department for ongoing improvement.
