Description

The Staffing Team at IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Director of Staffing Logistics and Modeling to lead strategic staffing initiatives, optimize hiring processes, and develop complex staffing models across Texas operations and beyond. This role involves significant partnership with senior leaders and external stakeholders to enhance student outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Location: This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with a preference for candidates in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, or Tarrant County, or those willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations: Up to 20% during peak periods.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine staffing models tailored to school and program needs, aligning with strategic and financial goals.
  • Analyze workforce data to evaluate staffing effectiveness and impact on student achievement.
  • Create ROI metrics for educational roles to assess their effectiveness and inform staffing strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership, finance, and HR to ensure staffing models support instructional and organizational goals.
  • Lead long-term development of staffing logistics and modeling, driving continuous improvement.
Additional Duties
  • Integrate key performance metrics into staffing models to ensure data-driven hiring.
  • Utilize relevant data to identify trends and recommend strategic staffing adjustments.
  • Support leadership with rapid analyses and predictive modeling, including causal inference and forecasting.
  • Assess financial implications of staffing decisions and advise on resource allocation.
  • Facilitate workshops and produce reports to communicate analytical insights and staffing impacts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and legislative changes affecting staffing and education.
  • Partner with stakeholders and external vendors to develop and improve staffing platforms.
  • Train staff on staffing model logic and methodology to ensure effective implementation.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strategic decision-making, team management, and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau), programming languages (R, Python), and data visualization.
  • Experience with large datasets, data analysis, and version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of K-12 education policies, staffing trends, and educational metrics.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years in workforce planning, data analysis, or similar roles in education or large organizations.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant fields.
Compensation & Benefits
