Job description

Overview

Trinity Terrace has an exciting new opportunity to expand our team of nursing professionals! We are currently seeking a Director of Staff Development and Infection Preventionist (RN) to assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the day-to-day operations of the nursing department. The DSD will ensure the highest quality of care is given and is responsible for the overall development, implementation and presentation of educational programs, including orientation training and ongoing educational in-service training of nursing staff, and participates in orientation of ancillary staff as appropriate. This position will assist with scheduling, staffing, monitoring and supervision of staff, audits, chart reviews and QA/QAPI program.

Wage Range: $80,000 - $100,000 /year DOE

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm

About You:
  • Current RN license to practice as a nurse in the state of Texas (or compact license).
  • Requires completion of nursing program from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to apply the principle of nursing care based on standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care.
  • Experience in long term care which includes direct care of the aged or chronically ill.
  • Requires supervisory management, leadership skills and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • BLS Certified.
