Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Staff Development (DSD) - LVN to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position for an organized and compassionate nursing professional who is passionate about staff education, employee development, regulatory compliance, and quality resident care.
The DSD will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure staff are properly trained, competent, and prepared to provide the highest quality of care to our residents.
General Purpose
The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible for planning and implementing facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants, as required by applicable regulations.
The DSD works collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to maintain the highest degree of quality care and regulatory compliance. This position also provides direct resident/patient care as needed.
