Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Director, Solutioning Software Platform Development to build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary organization that designs, develops, deploys, and sustains modern software tools and data structures supporting the solutioning ecosystem.

You will promote modern software practices, AI-enabled development, and collaborate with program leadership, application leads, and business stakeholders to translate priorities into scalable platforms and reliable release processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary software or digital product teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices.
• Ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience across software, data, and UX disciplines.
• Ability to identify and apply AI opportunities responsibly.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary tools organization spanning software developers, UX developers and designers, tools application developers, enterprise data architecture, data ontology resources, and deployment/testing roles.
• Define and execute the tools team operating model, engineering standards, and delivery practices.
• Promote agile planning, code quality, automation, testing, and DevOps release practices.
• Identify and incorporate AI capabilities to improve productivity and user outcomes.
• Partner with program leads, application leaders, and stakeholders to translate priorities into roadmaps and milestones.
• Establish collaboration between engineering, UX, data architecture, and deployment/testing for integrated, production-ready solutions.
• Build a high-performing team culture through coaching and talent development.
• Provide transparent updates to leadership and align with governance and security priorities.
