Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Director, Solutioning Software Platform Development to lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary tools organization responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining modern software tools and data structures that support the broader solutioning ecosystem.

This leader will set the technical and operating direction for software developers, UX teams, and data engineers, promote agile practices, and drive the practical application of AI to improve development

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary software or digital product teams.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery, architecture collaboration, testing, release management, and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams through coaching and organizational design.
• Experience across software, data, and user experience disciplines with enterprise data architecture considerations.
• Ability to identify and apply AI opportunities to improve productivity and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to align technical direction with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary tools organization spanning software developers, UX developers and designers, tools application developers, enterprise data architecture, data ontology resources, and deployment/testing roles.
• Define and execute the tools team operating model, engineering standards, and delivery practices for scalable, secure applications and data capabilities.
• Promote modern software development practices including agile planning, code quality disciplines, automation, testing, DevOps-oriented release practices, and disciplined lifecycle management.
• Identify and incorporate AI capabilities to improve productivity, user experience, engineering effectiveness, and portfolio value.
• Partner with program leads and stakeholders to translate priorities into roadmaps, staffing plans, and milestones.
• Establish collaboration across software engineering, UX, data architecture, and deployment/testing to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.
• Build a high-performing team culture through coaching, hiring support, and continuous improvement.
