Job summary

Capital One seeks a Director of Software Engineering for Bank Tech in New York to lead multiple engineering teams delivering customer-facing web/mobile apps, RESTful microservices, and data-driven back-end platforms. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
7+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of people management experience.
10+ years’ experience in software development (preferred).
5+ years’ of Agile practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers.
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team.
Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
Continuously improve software engineering practices.
Lead the deployment of new and existing applications into AWS environments.
Break existing monolithic applications into microservice architectures and build new microservices.
