Job summary
TEKsystems in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Leader for cloud-native enterprise platforms. You will shape roadmaps, align with product and architecture, and ensure scalable, secure systems across microservices and APIs.
You will lead architecture reviews, governance, and delivery, partnering with executives to translate strategy into executable plans while fostering performance and continuous improvement.

- 10+ years of software engineering experience with progressive responsibility.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software products and platforms in a cloud environment.

- Partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, and business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture reviews, system design discussions, and engineering decision-making.
- Establish and promote engineering standards, best practices, and development methodologies that support scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.
- Oversee the design and delivery of modern cloud-native applications utilizing microservices, APIs, and distributed system architectures.
- Develop and track key engineering performance indicators related to delivery, platform reliability, software quality, and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts across the software development lifecycle, including automation, DevOps practices, and engineering productivity initiatives.
- Ensure production environments maintain a high standard of performance, availability, security, and observability.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define technical strategy, staffing plans, and long-term technology investments.
- Serve as a senior engineering representative in customer engagements, escalations, strategic initiatives, and executive discussions.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools, to improve engineering effectiveness and accelerate delivery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $72.50/hr.
