Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Director of Software Engineering to lead a development team in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications. This role requires a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence across software delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers across multiple projects and technologies.
  • Architect and oversee the development of enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Microservices, and Angular.
  • Drive the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in software design, coding standards, testing, and documentation.
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and performance evaluations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to guide strategic technical decisions.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in Java, J2EE architecture, Microservices, Angular, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github, Azure DevOps).
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in performance tuning and application security.
  • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and systems.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately $150,000-190,000 base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
