Flosum is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead a 10-engineer team building Node.js and Salesforce-integrated products. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes architectural thinking, data‑driven delivery, and accountability for performance and quality.

You will own end-to-end delivery, compress schedules, and drive developer velocity across a cloud-native stack in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading teams of 8–20 engineers.
• Hands-on Node.js experience with Express/Nest and microservices.
• Deep Salesforce platform knowledge (Apex, Lightning, REST, Platform Events).
• Proven technical architect background designing distributed systems.
• Strong scheduling compression with data-driven estimates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum or Kanban and estimating.
• Cloud-native delivery with AWS, CI/CD, IaC, DevOps.
• Excellent stakeholder communication with executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of 10 full‑stack developers across Node.js and Salesforce.
• Drive developer velocity using DORA metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR.
• Break epics into small, shippable slices and challenge inflated estimates with data.
• Architect end-to-end solutions spanning Node.js microservices and Salesforce integrations.
• Own solution performance, set SLOs, and hold the team accountable.
• Establish estimation, sprint, and release discipline; remove blockers.
• Partner with Product, QA, and Infrastructure to align roadmap and dependencies.
• Recruit, onboard, and performance‑manage engineers; foster ownership and speed.
