Our client is looking to fill the role of Director of Software Development. The Director of Software Delivery is responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of software projects across all engineering teams. This role ensures that our architecture supports scalability, security, and maintainability, aligning with company’s mission to enhance construction site efficiency and safety through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering execution across all software development teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery of company's platform features.
• Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Test Automation practices and teams to maintain high standards of software quality.
• Manage Scrum Masters and ensure adherence to Agile practices across all teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Own delivery forecasting, team velocity tracking, and delivery health metrics to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Partner with Product Management to commit to and deliver against roadmap priorities, aligning technical execution with business goals.
• Continuously improve delivery processes, tooling, and team practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Resolve systemic blockers, cross-team dependencies, and resourcing conflicts to mitigate risks in project delivery.
• Build and mentor delivery leadership including Team Leads, QA Leads, and Scrum Masters, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Align with the Chief Architect on technical direction, balancing speed and quality in software development.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading delivery for multiple Agile teams in a SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience with distributed global teams, including offshore and nearshore delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and improving delivery metrics.
• Experience balancing customer impact, technical quality, and business outcomes.
