Job summary
S&P Global is seeking a seasoned architect to lead Enterprise Solutions Technology in New York. This hybrid role concentrates on architecture strategy, cloud-native platform evolution, and cross-functional leadership to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.
The candidate will drive architecture decisions, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with business priorities while leveraging AI/ML and data modeling concepts.
Qualifications
- 18+ years' experience in software development, computer engineering, or related fields with at least 6 years in architecture and design.
- Ability to work well in a team environment following Agile software development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully multitask.
- High energy and a self-starter.
- Preference for experience with Microservices or distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related fields.
- Expert on data management technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud technologies.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

- Architecture & Design : Ability to define and drive Architecture strategy , embedding AI/ML agentic AI and semantic models into platforms.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, specifically in Customer Lifecycle Management.
- Semantic Data Modelling & Ontologies: Knowledge of data mesh, ontologies (FIBO, ISDA CDM, ISO20022), and multi-agent frameworks.
- Domain Knowledge – Customer Lifecycle Management , Know Your Customer, ISDA.
- Good knowledge of data modelling.
- Good knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Modern Platform Architecture: Experience designing and evolving cloud-native, modular, and federated architectures for scale, resilience, and agility.
- Integration & Interoperability: Strong abstraction and modelling skills, integrating semantic models into data mesh and ensuring interoperability across domains.
- Streaming & Event-Driven Execution: Knowledge of real-time, event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redis Streams, event sourcing).
- DevOps & Cloud Engineering: Knowledge of DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS ECS, Azure, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Security & Compliance: Understanding of secure, compliant architectures and access control for ML services.
- AI/ML & NLP: Knowledge of ML/NLP (transformers, embeddings, supervised/unsupervised learning).
- 18+ years' experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields with atleast 6 years in architecture and design
- Ability to work well in a team environment following Agile software development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task.
- High energy and a self-starter.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with Microservices or distributed systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related fields.

- Good background on leveraging cloud technologies
- Can handle both front-end and back-end development
- Ability to deliver products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
This role is hybrid and requires the person to be in the New York City office 2 - 3 days a week.
