Job summary

FutureCare in Maryland is seeking a Director of Social Work to advocate for residents, oversee social services, and ensure high standards of care across facilities.

The role leads the Social Work Department, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, coordinates discharge planning, provides crisis intervention, and guides staff development. A MSW or MSW with LICSW preferred; MD license required; sign-on bonus $7,500 and competitive pay range $38.50–$45.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a social work degree at least a bachelor’s, though a master’s is highly preferred.
• Current Maryland Social Work license is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care settings is a must.
• Ability to lead and develop the department and its staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medically related social services across the facility.
• Supervise Social Work Department programs.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and psychosocial support to residents and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transition to other settings.
