Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking an experienced Director, Shared Services to lead the overall direction of Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing, Cash Management and Accounting Services, aligning with corporate objectives and field operations.

This role partners with corporate functions to ensure accurate financial close, improve processes, and drive change with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business.
• 15+ years of proven business process and systems experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall Shared Services Team, in support of business process initiatives and BrightView objectives.
• Supervise Shared Services Managers in support of their various teams.
• Support training to Shared Services Team members in all aspects of business processes and procedures.
• Establish metrics and/or KPI’s for Shared Services processes and work with Manager to develop improvements.
• Oversee the Corporate Accounting function including reconciliations, journal entries and close support.
• Oversee other financial and administrative activities as needed.

This position works closely with other corporate functional teams as well as field-based finance and operations teams to efficiently complete business transactions within the BrightView internal control structure.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Direct the overall Shared Services Team, in support of business process initiatives and BrightView objectives.
• Supervise Shared Services Managers in support of their various teams.
• Support training to Shared Services Team members in all aspects of business processes and procedures.
• Establish metrics and/or KPI’s relative to Shared Services processes and work directly with Manager to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Oversee the support of the Corporate Accounting function by performing account reconciliations, journal entries and general support for the financial close process.
• Oversee support for other financial and administrative activities as needed.

Education And Experience

• Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience, in Accounting or Business required.
• 15 or more years of proven business process and systems experience.
• An excellent knowledge of business processes and systems.
• Excellent leadership, critical thinking, communication, and team building skills required.
• Experience with shared services a plus.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers.
• Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of time
• Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting and requires in-person presence
