Job summary

Subcritical Systems, Inc. in Austin, TX, seeks a Director/Head of Semiconductor Development to drive growth in the semiconductor market and shape the go-to-market strategy for our SRF cavity and accelerator technology.

You will engage customers, translate requirements into a product roadmap, and represent SSI at major conferences and customer visits, while building the commercial function for the business line in a fast-growth startup.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in the semiconductor industry or related tool development.
• Proven track record managing complex, long-cycle capital equipment sales or partnerships.
• Strong technical fluency: able to engage credibly with process engineers, device engineers, and executives.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence; comfortable representing SSI to senior leadership at fabs and OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead SSI's growth in the semiconductor industry and build the go-to-market strategy for SRF cavity and accelerator tech.
• Define and execute SSI's commercial strategy for entering and scaling within the semiconductor lithography market.
• Translate market and customer requirements into product and technology roadmap input for the engineering team.
• Represent SSI at industry conferences, technical reviews, and customer site visits.
• Build and lead the commercial function for this business line and plan future hires.
