Job summary

Boingo Wireless is seeking a Director of Compliance & Security in Frisco, TX. Lead the strategy for data integrity, governance, risk, and compliance across enterprise and product security programs.

You will drive automation, partner across IT, Legal, HR, Finance and Engineering, and embed security into network architectures and venue products. Candidates should bring strong GRC leadership and cross‑functional influence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information technology, security, or infrastructure leadership.
• 3+ years directly managing teams across GRC and information security.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Security Compliance / GRC Cybersecurity. Own and mature Boingo's GRC program - including risk register management, control mapping, evidence collection, audit readiness for NIST and SOC 2.
• Partner cross‑functionally with IT, Legal, HR, Finance, and Engineering on policy development, vendor security, incident response, and risk acceptance.
• Embed security controls into network designs (DAS, private networks, Wi‑Fi) and support go‑to‑market readiness of Boingo’s venue security products.
• Define the annual Security strategy, roadmap, and budget. Drive unification of IT operations and security into a single control plane.
