Job summary

Livefino seeks an experienced Director of Security to oversee physical security, surveillance, and regulatory compliance across its cannabis operations. You will supervise the security team, monitor grounds and personnel, and ensure the proper functioning of video surveillance, access control, and perimeter systems to meet industry standards.

You will also develop evacuation procedures, stay compliant with state DOA rules, handle security training, and coordinate with regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 4 years of honorable Law Enforcement background.
• Experience in Security and Loss prevention will be taken into consideration.
• Proficiency in First Aid and the use of AED equipment to render aid in an emergency situation.
• Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state and the D.O.A.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
• Must pass background checks and be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Security to oversee and manage all aspects of physical security, surveillance, and regulatory compliance across our vertically integrated cannabis operations.

• Provide direct support, oversight, and coordination of the security team ensuring the implementation of the company’s security procedures and operational plans.
• Responsible for monitoring the site grounds, facility, visitors, vendors, and staff.
• Responsible for the operation and monitoring of the site’s video surveillance system, access control system, and perimeter security system ensuring its functionality and compliance.
• Adherence to all industry standards set forth by Local, State, and Federal regulation.
• Remain vigilant in identifying and resolving problems such as unauthorized personnel, alarms indicating fire, or any other potential safety hazards to company employees or visitors to the facility.
• Develop and implement facility evacuation plans in case of emergency.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure that the retail location, all exterior entrances/exits, parking lots, and perimeter fences remain secure at all times.
• Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned facilities.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of new security monitoring product development and its implementation within the licensed cannabis industry.
• Act as liaison with DOH on violations of regulatory compliance as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state and the D.O.A.
• Recommended but not required, certification or training in Senior Security Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must pass any and all required background checks.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Physical Demands:

• The working conditions of this position regularly require the employee to be exposed to outdoor elements and seasonal weather conditions.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, walking, gripping, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
• Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong-smelling marijuana odors, and be able to tolerate exposure to the product.
