Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is required.
• Missouri Peace Officer Certification required and commissioned per Mo Revised Statutes Chap. 590.
• 3+ years as sworn law-enforcement officer.
• Must train and supervise SRO staff; qualify with all weapons; stay updated on police training.

Responsibilities

• Report to Willard School District, POST, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Missouri Attorney General's Office.
• Collaborate with school administration for effective decision-making.
• Respond to radio-dispatched calls for service.
• Conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations of school-related criminal activity and accidents.
• Assist with student traffic in parking areas and monitor student conduct.
• Assist with hiring of SRO staff for the district and supervise security for activities.
• Provide yearly evaluations of SRO staff and budgetary input.
• Oversee safety and security equipment and report statistics as needed.
