Responsibilities

• Oversee interviewing, screening and employment of cafeteria personnel.
• Standardize personnel policies and evaluate cafeteria managers.
• Manage contracts for group purchasing and bid processes.
• Maintain inventory tracking of foods, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of nutrition records, bills, payroll for cafeteria staff.
• Process claims reimbursement for school nutrition functions.
• Implement fair pay practices for nutrition staff.
• Oversee technology solutions for menu planning, payroll and accounts.
• Standardize cafeteria accounting with Treasurer/Business Manager.
• Submit applications for federal/state subsidy programs.
• Evaluate new equipment purchases and renovations.
• Provide direction during kitchen/cafeteria renovations.
• Supervise Program Support Assistant, Assistant Director, Cafeteria Managers.
• Inspect facilities for diet, cleanliness, health and safety standards.
• Communicate menus and health/educational benefits to patrons.
• Performs other nutrition-related duties as required.
