Overview

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a Director of Sales with a strong record of enterprise and infrastructure sales success within the telecommunications and data center ecosystem. This strategic leader will be responsible for generating new revenue, expanding partner relationships, and leading large-scale customer engagements, particularly with fiber, cloud, and data center infrastructure providers.

The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge from companies like Lumen, Zayo, and Frontier, understands complex sales cycles involving fiber optics and hyperscaler connectivity, and has a proven track record in direct business development, team leadership, and strategic account growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting enterprise customers, hyperscalers, and data center providers with a focus on fiber optic infrastructure, transport services, and interconnect solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team, including account executives and sales engineers focused on national and regional markets.
  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities across hyperscaler builds, edge deployments, cross-connect services, and long-haul fiber expansion.
  • Own executive relationships and engage with decision-makers at Lumen, Zayo, Frontier, and key enterprise buyers.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate complex deals, MSAs, and custom fiber builds with enterprise clients and wholesale partners.
  • Monitor sales metrics, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy to ensure consistent performance against quarterly and annual targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and executive briefings to build market visibility and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
  • 8–12+ years of experience in B2B telecom sales, with 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Deep familiarity with fiber optic infrastructure, dark fiber, Ethernet transport, cloud interconnects, and data center environments.
  • Demonstrated success in working with or selling into companies like Lumen, Zayo, Frontier, or similar Tier 1/2 providers.
  • Strong understanding of hyperscaler needs (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Meta, etc.), including cloud on-ramps and edge connectivity.
  • Proven ability to build and lead sales teams, manage multimillion-dollar quotas, and close large enterprise or wholesale deals.
  • Expert-level relationship management skills with experience engaging with CIOs, CTOs, and infrastructure leads.
  • Comfortable navigating long sales cycles, RFP processes, and multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in carrier-neutral data centers, colocation, or network infrastructure development
  • Knowledge of cloud networking models, SD-WAN, or network-as-a-service (NaaS) offerings
  • Experience managing cross-functional sales support teams (solutions engineers, pricing, contracts)
