Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Surety Bond Professionals, Inc. is seeking a senior sales leader to manage an eight-person producer team across the country. You will translate leadership revenue needs into weekly producer actions, coach for higher performance, and own the firm-wide revenue targets.
You will drive the prospecting, pipeline management, and closing process to ensure consistent growth. This role is fully remote nationwide with travel as described and reports to the CEO.
Surety Bond Professionals is the fastest growing independent surety-only agency in the country, built on over 100 years of combined experience and direct access to more than 40 surety markets nationwide. We are headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, licensed in all 50 states, and we run regional offices in Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, and Illinois. We do one thing: contractor bonding, done well enough that our clients bid more, win bigger projects, and grow their revenue year after year. Our clients call us #YourBondPartner because that is what we act like, not a vendor they call once and forget. Together, we build. Together, we win.
This is not a coordinator seat and it is not a caretaker seat. You will own the performance of an eight person producer team spread across the country, and you are the reason their pipeline, their skill, and their results get better every quarter instead of staying flat. You translate what leadership needs from revenue into what each producer needs to do this week. This is not a wait for instructions job. If the sales organization is undisciplined, underdeveloped, or under target a year from now, that is a reflection on this seat.
You run the coaching cadence that turns a developing producer into a closer and keeps a senior producer sharp.
Firm-wide revenue goals become individual producer goals under your ownership, and you know at any moment who is on pace and who is not.
Prospecting, pipeline management, and closing run the same way whether you are watching or not.
Leadership gets a straight, current read on pipeline health and producer performance from you, not a guess.
You are in the field with your producers, not just reviewing their numbers after the fact.
You turn a firm target into a plan producers can actually execute.
You build the system, then you enforce it.
You decide where the team spends its time.
You are the translator between the field and the top floor.
You have carried a bag and won. You were a successful individual contributor in a consultative, relationship-driven B2B sale before you ever managed anyone. You can still run the play you are coaching, not just describe it.
You are a real coach, not a title. You get something out of watching someone else get better. You can sit with a new producer's rough call and a senior producer's stall with the same patience, and you push both of them.
You hold people accountable without apologizing for it. Setting a clear expectation and enforcing it does not make you uncomfortable, whether the person across from you has been here six months or six years.
You think in systems and you still get in the weeds. You can build a market strategy and sit in on a single producer's deal in the same afternoon, and neither one suffers for it.
You are commercially minded. Being measured against a number is the job, not a threat. You would rather push a target up than negotiate it down.
Experience in commercial insurance, surety, technology, banking, financial services, construction services, or another sophisticated B2B environment is preferred. Direct surety experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Base salary of $140,000, plus a target incentive of approximately $70,000. Target total year 1 compensation is approximately $210,000.
Strong performance moves that to approximately $240,000. Exceptional performance is $280,000 to $300,000, with further upside beyond that for truly extraordinary results.
Full time. Remote, nationwide. Approximately 20% travel. Reports to the CEO.
