POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Director of Sales at ADDMAN Polymer, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships across the Commercial Space, Aerospace & Defense, Medical, and High-End Industrial markets. This role provides strategic leadership to the sales and account management teams, with a focus on new business development, key account growth, market expansion, and achieving overall commercial objectives.

In this role, you will lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales team while establishing revenue targets, managing sales pipelines, identifying new market opportunities, and cultivating strategic partnerships. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, and Operations, to align commercial strategies with ADDMAN's manufacturing capabilities, operational objectives, and long-term business growth.

As a senior commercial leader, you will be accountable for sales performance, revenue forecasting, customer retention, and the execution of strategic growth initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and requires U.S. person status.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Account Managers, driving accountability, performance, and professional growth.
  • Oversee and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, serving as the senior commercial point of contact when needed.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities to expand services,
  • capabilities, and programs within existing accounts.
  • Establish and execute account strategies, including revenue targets, pipeline development, and long-term growth plans.
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships to strengthen partnerships and increase share of wallet.
  • Partner closely with Program Managers and internal teams to ensure successful program execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Guide the development of proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline health, bookings, and key account metrics.
  • Support complex contract negotiations, scope changes, and commercial escalations.
  • Champion the voice of the customer internally, driving continuous improvement and alignment with market needs
  • Maintain a safe work environment and abide by all safety practices and protocols.
  • Promote a positive work environment.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven ability to lead and scale an account management or customer-facing sales team.
  • Strong track record of growing existing accounts and driving revenue through relationship-based selling.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Strong presence with the ability to influence both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable business opportunities and solutions.
  • Strong business acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and negotiation.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around customer and business objectives.
  • Results-driven mindset with high levels of ownership, integrity, and accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or related industries.
  • Minimum 5+ prior experience leading or managing Account Managers or sales teams required.
  • Preferred 5+ years' experience in the Additive Manufacturing Industry.
  • Demonstrated success in growing and retaining key customer accounts.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and ITAR compliance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment when on the shop floor
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures are climate controlled due to production requirements
  • Standard indoor office conditions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing
  • Prolonged sitting and computer use
  • Frequent use of hands for typing and operating office equipment
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching
  • Ability to lift light items (typically up to 15-25 lbs, if applicable)
