Director of Sales – Foodservice Contract Management & GPO

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Director of Sales (Contract Management & GPO) will develop and implement strategies aligned with Pilgrim’s business goals to foster growth in contract managed and group purchasing organization channels. This role collaborates with the Sr. Director of CMC/GPO to create strategic, integrated customer business plans, aiming to capitalize on growth opportunities and mitigate risks. The role will also focus on achieving volume and financial targets.

Location: Our ideal candidate will work remotely from home.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop regional Prepared business to $15-25MM.
  2. Serve as Subject Matter Expert within the channel, build relationships with key CMC/GPO accounts, manage brokers, and deliver KPIs.
  3. Execute face-to-face sales and marketing strategies, attend industry shows, and engage with industry leaders.
  4. Create and manage bid and contract pipelines, collaborating cross-functionally to meet targets.
  5. Engage as a customer-centric consultant, using needs-based selling and providing solutions.
  6. Focus on core products (Prepared & Fresh), monitor competitors, and provide internal feedback for business renovation.
  7. Manage contracts and pricing negotiations to support growth and improve margins.
  8. Utilize CRM, trade analytics, and broker resources to understand market performance and identify gaps.
  9. Forecast demand, coordinate with demand planning and supply chain to meet objectives.
  10. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Over 10 years of Foodservice Sales experience, preferably in GPO/CMC or North American Sales.
  3. Extensive poultry industry knowledge.
  4. Proven ability to build and maintain key account relationships.
  5. Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
  6. Proficiency in internet navigation and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills for diverse interactions.
  9. Ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  10. Willingness to travel as needed for business.
Compensation & Benefits:
