Position Summary
Responsible for a multi-property, market sales effort. Collaborate, coordinate, execute, and measure the results of market strategies and processes that drive top-line revenues, market share, and profitability across the hotel portfolio. Provide sales leadership, education, mentoring, talent recruitment, and performance accountability for team members. Demonstrate effective internal and external communication, foster a professional work environment, and enhance customer experience.
Requirements
Overall Responsibilities
- Execute company sales initiatives through market strategies in a timely manner
- Develop strategic hotel and market plans, with accountability and reporting on results
- Deploy market segments and accounts to leverage relationships and drive transient, group, and extended-stay revenues
- Engage in proactive and reactive sales efforts to maximize opportunities
- Build comprehensive business partnerships to foster loyalty, increase market share, and improve customer experience
- Set performance goals, develop plans, conduct reviews, and coach team members
- Recruit and retain talented sales staff
- Engage in ongoing professional education to improve performance and skills
Job Tasks
- Identify and manage key business drivers generating quality leads
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts, replacing underperformers
- Participate in budgeting, goal setting, and performance processes
- Implement market initiatives from the sales & marketing plan
- Analyze reports to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and increase market share and profitability
- Lead sales meetings, provide insights, and benchmark progress
- Communicate brand sales initiatives, strategies, and training
- Manage sponsorships and affiliations aligned with community outreach and sales strategies
- Participate in community events and organizations to promote the company
- Develop strategic partnerships for leads, referrals, and sales
- Accurately track data in CRM system
- Participate in customer entertainment events and trade shows
- Mentor team members, participate in sales calls, prospecting, and customer events
- Provide sales training for staff
- Handle hiring, disciplinary actions, and recruitment
- Submit performance appraisals, PTO requests, and expenses
- Conduct performance reviews and approve PTO and expenses for direct reports
