Responsibilities

• Analyze market and create a marketing plan to drive group business and ADR.
• Work to ensure the property reaches budget/revenue goals.
• Articulate sales performance to corporate office and general manager.
• Communicate effectively to staff on sales clients, groups, VIP guests, etc.
• Call new prospects to drive business, new and repeat.
• Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts.
• Develop and enhance relationships with key accounts to maintain market share.
• Maintain timely verbal and written communication with clients.
• Assist in developing an annual sales and marketing plan.
• Identify marketing strategy for each market segment.
• Analyze historical, current and future hotel trends, and market trends.
• Create selling strategies to maximize revenue to meet/exceed sales goals.

The right candidate will have:

• Knowledge of hotel operations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excel; Outlook and experience with hotel reservation and revenue management systems
• Ability to complete in-person sales visits to clients
• Understanding of how to improve local negotiated account business
