Role Overview

The Director of Sales is responsible for the strategic leadership, performance, and development of the Company’s sales and marketing functions across multiple operating branches. This role leads outside sales teams and oversees commercial initiatives designed to drive revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and improve profitability.

The position is responsible for developing and executing integrated go-to-market strategies, aligning sales and marketing efforts with corporate objectives, and ensuring consistent execution across regions, branches, and customer segments. The Director partners closely with operations, supply chain, inventory management, and executive leadership to support sustainable growth and deliver exceptional customer experience.

Manager Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to sales and marketing personnel to achieve individual and organizational performance goals.
  • Establish clear expectations, priorities, and accountability standards across the commercial organization.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning for team members.
  • Lead organizational initiatives related to sales effectiveness, market expansion, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, finance, procurement, inventory management, and executive leadership teams.
  • Support change management initiatives and organizational alignment efforts across acquired or legacy business units.
  • Promote a positive, customer‑focused, and growth‑oriented culture throughout the organization.
  • Ensure effective communication between executive leadership, branch operations, and commercial teams.
  • Drive data‑driven decision making through reporting, KPI management, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and manage outside sales teams across multiple operating branches and markets.
  • Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and market share expansion through strategic customer engagement and business development initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic accounts, and emerging industry segments.
  • Establish sales objectives, performance metrics, and accountability measures for the commercial organization.
  • Monitor market conditions, customer trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform commercial strategy.
  • Partner with branch leadership, operations, and supply chain teams to align customer demand, inventory strategy, and service execution.
  • Oversee development and execution of marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, customer engagement programs, and branding efforts.
  • Support key customer relationships, contract negotiations, and strategic account development activities.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and sales planning processes.
  • Analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, profitability, and market data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on commercial effectiveness, customer experience, and operational alignment.
  • Prepare and present sales and marketing performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles.
  • Proven management experience with a record of accomplishment of overseeing at least 5 direct reports, ensuring effective team performance and accountability.
  • Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and marketing automation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].

  • Detail‑oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
