Job summary

Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP in Houston, TX, seeks a Director of Safety & Operational Risk to lead enterprise safety, contractor safety and process safety across all assets. The role drives risk-informed decision making, safety governance and field readiness through collaboration with engineering, operations and safety committees.

The role requires 10+ years in safety leadership within natural gas transmission or related energy sectors, strong communication skills, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinker with a track record of leadership in the pipeline or related energy industry.
• Experience in operational risk management, Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, SIMOPS/work planning and PSMS concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop programs and training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensure enterprise employee safety, contractor safety and process safety across all assets.
• Lead risk-informed decision-making, field execution and governance across safety programs.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, operations and safety committees to improve readiness and safety solutions.
• Develop and update safety policies and procedures to comply with regulations.
• Participate in safety audits, incidents investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the Safety Advisory Committee and related regional safety committees.
