Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) is seeking a Director of Resorts Revenue Management to lead pricing strategy and inventory management for Hershey Resorts properties including The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, Hershey Inn & Suites, and Hersheypark Camping Resort. This role focuses on demand generation, revenue optimization, and channel strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism
• Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 8 years
• Strategic industry knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with revenue management software (Duetto preferred)

Responsibilities

• Establish rate and pricing strategies for Hershey Resorts properties based on location, seasons, resources, booking trends, competition, and influencers to optimize revenue.
• Establish inbound and outbound sales strategies across reservations, outbound team, upsell database, front office to maximize revenue management efforts.
• Maximize Revenue Management technology through collaboration with Sales, Reservations, and IT departments.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings, providing actionable insights on pricing strategies and operations to meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of industry practices by attending conferences, maintaining professional memberships, and monitoring publications.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships across the organization to align priorities and deliver solutions.
• Develop, prepare, and monitor the annual departmental budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Director of Resorts Revenue Management is responsible for managing demand (revenue generation and optimization) by developing, modifying, and communicating pricing strategies, establishing inbound and outbound leisure sales strategies, and managing guest room inventory for Hershey Resorts, including The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, Hershey Inn & Suites, and Hersheypark Camping Resort.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

Establish rate and pricing strategies for Hershey Resorts properties based on an understanding of location, seasons, company resources, booking trends, competition, and revenue influencers in order to optimize revenue and achieve business objectives.*

Establish innovative and effective inbound & outbound sales strategies based on data and understanding of industry practices that engage the right channels (reservations, outbound team, upsell database, front office teams, etc.) to execute strategies and maximize revenue management efforts to achieve established objectives.*

Maximize Revenue Management technology through ongoing collaboration with the Sales, Reservations, and Information Technology departments.*

Participate in strategic planning meetings and initiatives by providing actionable insight based on expert knowledge of pricing strategies, business operations, and industry best practices; leverage effective internal relationships to influence outcomes to develop initiatives that achieve organization objectives using existing or planned resources.*

Maintain knowledge of current and developing industry practices by attending conferences, obtaining and maintaining professional memberships, monitoring industry publications, and participating in industry group events.*

Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization in order to gain insight into business priorities and provide appropriate and meaningful solutions.*

Develop, prepare, and monitor the annual departmental budget.*

Perform other duties as assigned.
