Director of Retail Performance and Sales

Staffish has partnered with a pioneer in consumer electronics to find the perfect candidate to lead and grow their omnichannel retail partnerships, with a strong focus on sell-through, price parity, and performance-driven execution!

This person should be both strategic and hands-on, comfortable working in a lean environment, and capable of driving operational clarity and accountability.

Top Priorities for the Role

  • Take full ownership of the sell-through performance across all channels (not just POs).
  • Actively manage price parity and enforce MAP across retail and online partners.
  • Bring rigor and structure to unit economics, including margin analysis and channel profitability.
  • Improve reporting cadence and transparency, keeping leadership updated without prompting.
  • Move fast — someone with high urgency and proactive communication.

Candidate Must-Haves

  • Experience in business development, sales, or channel partnerships in consumer electronics or hardware.
  • Deep experience in managing and growing retail partnerships (Target, Best Buy, Amazon, etc.).
  • Proven track record of driving sell-through, not just sell-in.
  • Strong analytical skills — experience with margin analysis, forecasting, and pricing strategy.
  • Hands-on and independent — can build decks, reports, and strategies without support.
  • Comfortable in fast-changing environments; startup or scale-up background is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator with a clear executive reporting style.

Bonus Points

  • Experience within international retail expansion (especially EU).
  • Previous exposure to forecasting accuracy improvements or pricing tools.
  • Experience managing lean or no-support sales ops environments.
  • Exposure to performance marketing or trade marketing strategy.
  • High ownership mentality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Fast operator who doesn’t get paralyzed waiting on others.
  • Doesn’t view sales as just getting a PO, but as delivering retail success.
