HPM Building Supply seeks a Director of Retail to lead statewide operations from Hawaii, with bases in Hilo or Oʻahu. You will set merchandising and visual standards, craft customer experiences, and develop retail programs to draw people through the door across multiple stores and yards.

The role requires 8-10 years in retail leadership, experience in hardware or building materials, and strong strategic and leadership skills to manage a multi-location operation.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, or multistore leadership.
• Hardware, home improvement, or building materials experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's license
• College degree in a related field preferred but not required
• Intermediate computer skills are required

The expected pay range for the Director of Retail is $137,500 to $192,100 a year plus bonus. The pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity, and other factors relevant to the job.

This position will be based in Hilo or on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii.

HPM Building Supply is hiring a Director of Retail to create and foster an experience that wows our customers. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of retail operations in the state of Hawaii, This role sets the merchandising and visual standard for every store and yard, defines what the customer experience should look like, builds the retail programs that bring people through the door, and holds the standard month after month so it does not fade once the attention moves on. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record, a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of managing a multi-location retail operation.
