Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management for Resiliency and Reliability Engineering in McLean, VA. You will lead technical programs across data-intensive distributed systems, cloud architecture, and site reliability to reduce risk and improve availability.

The role requires 7+ years of TPM leadership, excellent cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of delivering large, complex programs in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience designing data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• Experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing.
• Experience with site reliability engineering, observability, incident response, or disaster recovery at scale.
• Experience driving resilience or reliability initiatives—chaos engineering, failure mode analysis, or run-the-engine reduction.
• Experience with Agile delivery.
• Experience delivering large and complex programs with cross-functional teams and ownership of vision.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• MBA or Master’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
