Job summary

HMR Veteran Services in Tyler, Texas, is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to plan and direct programs supporting residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

You will coordinate activities with care teams, ensure compliance with standards, and adapt activities to meet diverse needs. A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree is desirable, and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• An associate's degree is desirable but not required.
• Must have prior experience in Activities Department of long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct activities program to meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Coordinate overall Operations of the Activities Department and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work with care teams to adapt activities to diverse resident needs and preferences.
