ContourGlobal is seeking a Director of Business Development in Houston, TX. You will lead across a portfolio of utility-scale power development projects, support and develop the project team, and shape growth opportunities for ContourGlobal.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, environmental studies, law, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in power, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or related project development.
• Direct development experience across core disciplines (real estate/site control, permitting, interconnection, engagement, economics, engineering, pre-construction, diligence).
• Portfolio leadership across multiple complex projects with risk, priorities, and resource management.
• People leadership: coaching and developing project developers; empowering teams.
• Strong commercial and development judgment for decisions under ambiguity and tradeoffs.
• Relationship management with landowners, communities, governmental entities, counterparties, consultants, and internal partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex project information to senior leadership.
• Travel regularly to project sites and communities as required.
• Experience in the United States developing utility-scale power, renewables, or energy infrastructure.

Aufgaben

• Provide portfolio-level leadership across multiple power development projects and strategic priorities.
• Support Development Managers with project ownership, guidance, and escalation when needed.
• Drive portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Oversee development budgets, spend prioritization, and alignment with milestones and value creation.
• Mentor Development Managers and Associates; expand ownership and external relationships.
• Offer senior-level support on real estate, permitting, interconnection, stakeholder engagement, and project economics.
• Support external relationships with landowners, counties, governments, and consultants.
• Ensure cross-functional execution with Development Services, Engineering, Interconnection, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Construction.
• Communicate portfolio status, risks, opportunities, and decisions to senior leadership.
• Contribute to development strategy and evaluate opportunities including M&A and acquisitions.
