Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Berea, OH is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house therapy team at Berea Healthcare Center. This full-time role focuses on clinical leadership, program development, and ensuring high-quality patient care across PT, OT, SLP services.

The candidate must hold a state license and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills to guide therapists, residents, and cross‑functional staff while collaborating with facility and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a state licensed clinician (PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA) from an Accredited Program.
• Excellent oral and written communication, and effective leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations, screens, and treatments of facility patients/residents who are in need for therapy services.
• If an evaluating therapist, perform patient/resident evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient’s needs.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment, education of treatment staff which includes therapists and other members of team involved in the treatment plan.
• Attends/leads interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate, as well as function as a resource for clinical programming and caseload. Will also relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of the rehab team.
• Collaborates with facility and corporate Denials Management Specialist regarding any ADR/denied therapy claims.
• Conducts staff/family training and education when appropriate by formal and informal in-services as well as consultations.
• Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures daily, including training/re-training of team members, and complies with documentation requirements for rehab department.
