Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation Therapies in Kerrville, TX. You will lead inpatient rehab programs within a comprehensive behavioral health system, directing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring evidence-based, trauma-informed care aligned with agency goals.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, CMS/JCAHO compliance knowledge, and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with CMS conditions of participation, Joint Commission standards or other acute/hospital settings.
• Bachelor’s degree majors as listed in the qualifications.
• Licensed or credentialed therapist with required state/national licensure or certification.
• Five years total mental health programming experience, including at least two years in a lead/supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• High-level rehabilitation programming in an inpatient psychiatric mental health environment.
• supervises and executes development, implementation, and administration of all rehabilitation programs.
• Reviews the policy and procedure manual with individual information materials.
• Actively participates as a collaborative member in councils, teams, and committees.
• Manages and supervises a skilled workforce delivering recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, person-centered care.
• Operates with latitude to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in disaster response, recovery, or COOP activation; may require alternate shifts/locations.
