Silver Springs Care Center is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation Services to lead the department.

Job Summary:

Responsible for directing Rehabilitation Services, supervising department operations, administering prescribed physical agents, and maintaining performance improvement activities. Ensures staff competency, manages budgets, reviews charges for accuracy, and ensures compliance with all regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and support the Rehabilitation Services Department staff, aligning with organizational values.
  2. Evaluate treatment effects and recommend modifications as needed.
  3. Assess patients' needs, perform reassessments, and develop tailored treatment plans including family involvement.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in all rehabilitation modalities.
  5. Treat patients with respect, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs, and liaise with healthcare providers.
  6. Operate and maintain equipment safely, ensure departmental safety and cleanliness, and recommend equipment needs.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
  8. Coordinate patient care, ensure policy adherence, and maintain accurate records and reports on department performance and budgets.
  9. Foster a flexible, organized work environment and collaborate with other departments.
  10. Maintain performance improvement activities, conduct staff competency evaluations, and provide staff education.
  11. Handle management duties such as hiring, evaluating, and scheduling staff.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in rehabilitative medicine.
  • Current State Licensure as a PT or OT.
  • Knowledge of physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Understanding of infection control, sterile techniques, and rehabilitative agents.
  • Current BCLS certification.
