Job summary

Bellway Health and Rehab is seeking a Director of Rehab to lead the Rehabilitation Services, directing staff to deliver high-quality therapy to residents. This role shapes clinical strategy and ensures efficient department operations.

The DOR will oversee assessments, care plans, and reporting, coordinating with physicians. Licensure in OT/PT/SLP and 3+ years of experience are required for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy with a BS/BA.
• Currently licensed in OT, PT, or SLP.
• 3+ years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education and licensure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Rehabilitation Services department and staff.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects and recommend changes to physicians.
• Perform assessments on patients related to requested therapy.
• Prepare reports on utilization, performance improvement, service data, and productivity.
• Organize orientation and in-service training for department staff.
• Review therapy requests and orders.
• Interview residents to determine treatments and schedule as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians to determine therapy type.
• Participate in resident assessments (MDS) and care plans with quarterly reviews.
• Educate residents about procedures and prepare equipment.
• Recommend modifications to therapy programs based on progress.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
