Job summary

Avir at Comanche in Comanche, TX is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation to lead the rehab services team, oversee daily operations, ensure quality patient care and compliance with regulations while promoting collaboration with clinical staff and facility leadership.

You will supervise physical, occupational, and speech therapy as applicable, mentor staff, monitor outcomes, and coordinate care plans with nursing and medical providers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas license as PT/PTA/OT/COTA or SLP.
• Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation practices, clinical documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate rehabilitation services across physical, occupational, and speech therapy as applicable.
• Lead, mentor, and support rehabilitation staff to achieve clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure therapy services comply with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical providers, and other team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor outcomes, productivity, documentation, and quality initiatives.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental operations for efficient service delivery.
• Support resident-centered care that promotes safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
