Position Details

Role: Director of Regional Operations for our Affordable Community Division in Houston/San Antonio, TX.

Travel: Local travel required in Houston and San Antonio, TX.

Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Director will oversee Regional Managers and manage operations of HUD and LIHTC communities, including personnel, customer experience, marketing, leasing, maintenance, rehab supervision, owner representation, financial planning, administration, risk management, pre-development consulting, new business development, and due diligence. Ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Regional Managers to ensure operational excellence.
• Use data collection and auditing to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Analyze financial models, property performance, and market research.
• Develop and manage budgets; contribute to financial planning.
• Prepare reports; communicate data effectively.
• Demonstrate leadership, motivation, and strategic thinking.
• Use Business Intelligence tools for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to meet organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with fair housing, OSHA, EEOC, and company policies.
• Proficient in property management systems (Yardi preferred) and MS Office.
• Travel routinely for support, training, meetings, and site visits.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or at least five years of experience in multifamily housing at the Community Manager level or higher.
• CAM or ARM certification preferred.
• Expertise in LIHTC operations and compliance.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, OSHA, EEOC.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Strong analytical and operational reporting skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight as needed.
